Watch: ‘Don’t be a government whore Cindy!’: G-G heckled at Waitangi

It’s been a day of heckling political leaders in the Far North.

First, footage emerged on social media of Prime Minister Jacinda Ardern being abused in a carpark in Paihia.

Now, there is video, courtesy of Counterspin Media, of a group of activists heckling Governor-General Dame Cindy Kiro at Waitangi.

The activists demanded Kiro not become ‘a government whore.’

Divisions are growing between the ‘Old Guard’ of Northland Maori leadership and a younger generation not happy with what they perceive is ‘selling out’ to the government over COVID vaccines and finances.
