A member of a wealthy New Zealand family convicted of possessing and importing thousands of child sexual exploitation files received a 3% sentencing discount for $50,400 in charitable donations made just days before his scheduled sentencing.
Court documents released to legacy media show the payments were made on June 9, 2025, ahead of a hearing set for June 13, which was later adjourned.
Judge Maria Pecotic acknowledged the timing raised concerns the donations were aimed at reducing his punishment but still accepted them as part of his remorse, granting the reduction.

Outrageous !!!
Fabian/Freemason club.
What a disgrace. No justice system herein this country. 😡
Probably get a parole hearing within a year, that is if he even went to prison in the first place, given the name suppression. Pay as you go system.
$50,400 is spare change for a “wealthy child porn offender”. That level of “charity” and “remorse” shouldn’t have even moved the needle for sentencing.
Not only is he a criminal, he’s a tight-wad too. He should be named and jailed like a common criminal.
“This led to an overall discount of 56%, or two years and five months’ imprisonment.”
