Oppose ACT Bill to empower doctors to kill more patients!

Right to Life requests that all members of parliament withhold their support for the End of Life Choice Amendment Bill bypassing the ballot and being sent immediately to a select committee.

This is the Private Member’s Bill of ACT’s Todd Stephenson, MP.

This Amendment Bill, placed in the ballot in September 2024, was withdrawn and has now been redrafted to include 25 recommendations from the Ministry of Health’s official 3 year review of the End of Life Choice Act. This Bill recognises that it is cheaper to kill patients than to care for them, and that we have a “right to choose” to be murdered by a doctor with a lethal injection.

The MP Todd Stephenson has written to all MPs requesting that they support his Bill bypassing the ballot, and being sent straight to a select committee; he requires the support of 61 MPs for his Bill to be sent to a select committee.

ACT is the pro-Euthanasia party, which was responsible for drafting the End of Life Choice Act, and for passionately promoting its support in parliament and in the community. The End of Life Choice Act needs to be repealed, it does not require amending.

Euthanasia and Assisted suicide are all about doctors killing their patients with a lethal injection or assisting in their suicide; it is intrinsically evil, it violates human rights and the Fifth Commandment of God, “Thou shalt not kill”. Euthanasia is not health care, it promotes a culture of death, it denies the culture of life and the inescapable truth that our lives belong to our Creator and that we are privileged to be stewards of our life.

This Bill is a threat to not only the vulnerable, but to every member of our community.

Five of the twenty-six objectives the Bill seeks to achieve are :-

  • To remove the criteria that the patient is expected to die within six months, death would no longer be an issue.
  • To permit a doctor to raise the issue of euthanasia with a patient as part of a person’s treatment and end of life care options.
  • To set out the obligations of health practitioners not to allow conscientious objections to override their duty to act in accordance with the Code of Health and Disability Services Consumer’s Rights, and specific actions that health practitioners must take to facilitate continuity of care.
  • To require hospices, retirement care facilities, rest homes and private hospitals including religious facilities to provide access to “assisted dying”.
  • That Health NZ be required to undertake a number of functions to support “assisted dying as a health service”.

Right to Life will be writing to every member of parliament to

  • request that they withhold their support for this anti-life Bill bypassing the ballot and being sent directly to a select committee
  • remind them also that the first duty of those elected to our parliament is to legislate to protect the right to life of every member of our community from conception to natural death
  • tell them that those MPs not prepared to do this are not worthy to sit in our parliament and should be replaced.

  1. They’ve been doing that for a while. My dad passed in 2010…. He had cancer and was in hospital… the doctor spoke to him and the family re no getting better etc. later on he got injected with something and he passed that night.

  2. #1- Do not become an Organ Donor; they will harvest your organs if you’re over 50 and donate to a younger person as per aged eugenics,.
#2-Check to see IF a DNR Green Sheet hasn’t been planted in your medical records without your knowledge
PLEASE NOTE THAT THE ACT PARTY IS A ZIONIST-BASED PARTY THAT WANTS TO IMPOSE NOAHIDE LAW UNDER TALMUDIC GUIDELINES ON ALL NEW ZEALANDERS, AND THAT INCLUDES KILLING-OFF THE GOYIM!

ACT’s Todd Stephenson, MP should be arrested for planning a Zionist-based Genocide!

  3. ACT’s NWO Zionist foreign policies for all to see. Well and truly outed as representing the Zionist global corporate agenda and not the interests of New Zealanders.

  4. A lot of very emotive language in this article. Doctors murdering their patients indeed! Makes me wonder if the paragons of rectitude who take this stance have ever dealt with people who are in intractable pain to the stage that morphine fentanyl and the like no longer cut it and life has become just miserable totally undignified existence. (Yes I have). Hospice does not support assisted dying, but they do not stand in the way of patients who choose the procedure either. Having said that, I do feel a sense of disquiet that it is intended that the established requirements are to be “watered down.” Like, for example that death is very likely to be in the next six months and that health professionals can not advocate for assisted dying. We were assured that this “thin end of the wedge” scenario would not happen. Many of us know how some doctors can aggressively promote medications and procedures of dubious provenance. Where would it end? The present act is working well enough as it is. Leave it alone.

  5. Since posting my comment above, I have taken the time to read the proposed amendment, which is easy enough to find. My concerns have been almost entirely allayed and I think that the portrayal by Right to Life is mischievous and misleading.

    • Who knocked on your door, Phil?
      Horse before the cart?
Make no mistake- this is cleverly worded, and can be easily exploited to kill=off the Goyim, Retirees, the Disabled, the Autistic and those who are ‘Useless Eaters’…

      • Agree with you Phil. If there is a right to life there should also be a right to end that life, if that’s a persons wishes.

As for fears of misuse, well you get what you vote for. If you don’t trust the current lot with legislation in general, have enough sense to vote in people and parties, you do trust.

      • Hey sunshine, I did the “hard yards” – hospitals, geriatrics, grief and end of life counselling, hospice. People have been “knocking on my door” for 55+ years. How ‘bout you?

  6. Having seen a parent die a slow and painful death (until an accident ended their suffering) with the loss of basic human dignity and quality of life, I support this Bill, provided its terms ensure those wanting this meet rigorous criteria.

    • Agree. I have watched one parent die a slow and painful death and more recently the other had a very dignified and very peaceful departure. (both had Cancer). Both parents were into their 80’s, both had wonderful lives and both expressed they were ready to go. Unfortunately towards the end neither were able to walk, nor look after their own cares. This was their threshold although they had not considered death with dignity and the timing of their illness exacerbation meant this could not be addressed timely.
One was given morphine way too late, the other was managed beautifully and the care was exemplary.
The significant issues sat around how the illness was going to progress and when….both found these aspects unsettling with very little support offered through our system on diagnosis. Sadly one was given 6 to 12 months meaning they were outside of the current criteria and sadly passed away within 4 months.
Post these experiences, I remain fully supportive of death with dignity when my day comes and my threshold is reached. My plan is already well documented and I sincerely hope this will be honoured.

  7. According to Stuff: “Moving into politics will be a change for Stephenson, who after working as a barrister has had a successful corporate career in the pharmaceutical industry for the last 17 years. He currently works for Vertex Pharmaceuticals as a patient engagement director and has worked in a variety of public policy and strategic communications and leadership positions in a high-profile career in the industry.” So Vertex Pharmaceuticals, litigious gene editors, no doubt happy to render one’s original chassis for spare parts, whilst murmuring comforting phrases of course.
