Dismantling of Marsden Point continues

Marsden Point dismantling news

While we have been distracted by monkeypox and COVID, the dismantling of New Zealand’s only oil refinery, and with it our fuel security, continues unabated.

Recent photos taken by an ‘insider’ show the work in progress.

  1. Shame on those who are doing the dismantling work. Just like the police who turned on their fellow peaceful citizens at the protests, just like the tow truck drivers who towed the protesters cars. BROWN SHIRTS doing the devils work.

Shame on our govt for doing this. They are deliberately destroying our country. It’s war on the citizens from within, from the very people who are SUPPOSED to be working for us.

    ????

  2. This is so disappointing-“In response to historically low levels of gross-refining margins (GRM), exacerbated by the impacts of COVID-19, Refining NZ undertook a Strategic Review to determine the best future plans for the assets and the value they provide to shareholders.” then they morphed into Channel Infrastructure; so, corporate raid, to all intents and purposes.
So are we now meant to drive to work etc only on sunny days? I’m sure as hell going to look funny with the solar panels strapped to the Lamborghini
