Former All Black Keven Mealamu, widely regarded as one of the greatest rugby players in New Zealand’s history, recently shared a concerning video on social media showing him collapsing during a gym session earlier this year.
Mealamu, who has been dealing with Atrial Fibrillation (a condition causing an irregular heartbeat), collapsed twice and struck his head against the wall before being helped by fellow gym-goers.
The heart condition was first identified in 2022, preventing him from competing in a charity boxing event. The video, which has garnered 22,000 views, drew heartfelt messages of support from his former All Black teammates and international rugby rivals, wishing him a swift recovery.
Vaxxed?
This epitome of physical prowess, attended to by a coterie of health and medical professionals would never have ‘collapsed’ with a novel episode of AF. Likely, just another case of ‘bafflement syndrome’ sadly, and an irretrievable episode of politically and medically sanctioned myocardial injury.
