All Blacks XV and Blues lock Josh Beehre has been called into the All Blacks as training cover ahead of Sunday’s Test against Scotland, with captain Scott Barrett and midfielder Jordie Barrett both ruled out due to injuries.
Coach Scott Robertson said Jordie underwent scans and Scott’s cut is healing but neither will play, stressing that the team will still field its strongest lineup against a formidable Scottish side boasting eight British and Irish Lions.
Scotland coach Gregor Townsend said his squad, fresh off an 85–0 win over the USA, is confident and unfazed by history, expecting a competitive match against New Zealand, who arrived in Edinburgh after their victory over Ireland.
