Arsenal narrowly beat Spurs to stay in title race

Arsenal edged past Tottenham 2-1 in a tense north London derby at Emirates Stadium, moving within four points of league leaders Liverpool.

Despite dominating possession, Arsenal had to come from behind after Son Heung-min’s deflected shot gave Spurs a surprise lead.

The Gunners equalised through a Dominic Solanke own goal from a Gabriel header off a Declan Rice corner and took the lead shortly after when Leandro Trossard’s low shot beat Spurs keeper Antonin Kinsky, who had a mixed performance.

While Arsenal controlled much of the game, their lack of cutting-edge finishing kept the result in doubt until the final whistle, with Spurs almost equalizing late on.

The win keeps Arsenal in contention for the title, but injuries to key players and the absence of a reliable striker remain major concerns for manager Mikel Arteta.
