Auckland father and son defy odds with back-to-back holes-in-one

An Auckland father and son have achieved one of the rarest feats in golf, both scoring hole-in-ones on consecutive shots on a par four at Cullen Links Golf Course in Scotland.

Jim Rohrstaff, 46, and his 18-year-old son Blake were stunned to find both of their balls in the same hole after teeing off on the 255m eighth hole during a family holiday.

The remarkable double albatross—estimated at 17 million-to-one odds—left the family elated and celebrating with drinks and tequila for the remaining 10 holes.

It’s believed to be the first time a father-son duo has ever achieved the feat on a par four.
