Auckland FC moved within touching distance of clinching the Premiers Plate in their debut season after a commanding 0-2 win over Melbourne Victory at AAMI Park.
With second-half goals from Louis Verstraete and Guillermo May, Auckland secured their 14th victory of the season, opening up a seven-point lead at the top of the table. If Melbourne City defeat Western Sydney Wanderers later in the evening, Auckland will seal the silverware with two rounds still to play.
