Brighton move up to fifth after 0–2 win over Nottingham Forest

Brighton climbed to fifth in the Premier League with a determined 0–2 victory over Nottingham Forest at the City Ground, securing only their second away win of the season.

After Forest survived several early scares — including two goal-line clearances — the Seagulls finally broke through in first-half stoppage time when Maxim de Cuyper finished a well-worked move.

Forest improved after the break and pressed for an equaliser, but Brighton sealed the result late on when 19-year-old Stefanos Tzimas pounced on a defensive error to score his first Premier League goal.

The win lifts Brighton to 22 points, level with Sunderland but ahead on goal difference, while Forest sit 16th, just one point above the relegation zone.
