Chelsea manager Enzo Maresca has received a one-match touchline ban and an £8,000 fine after being sent off for celebrating his team’s last-minute winner against Liverpool.
The Italian was dismissed in stoppage time for leaving his technical area and using improper language following Estevao Willian’s 95th-minute goal. Maresca admitted the charge and accepted the standard penalty, meaning he will miss Chelsea’s upcoming Premier League clash with Nottingham Forest.
Assistant coach Willy Caballero will take charge in his absence. This marks Maresca’s second suspension since becoming a Premier League manager in 2024.
