De Ligt’s stoppage-time header rescues point for Manchester United at Tottenham

Matthijs de Ligt scored a dramatic 96th-minute equaliser as Manchester United salvaged a 2–2 draw against Tottenham in a pulsating Premier League encounter.

United led through Bryan Mbeumo’s first-half header and appeared in control until Mathys Tel’s late strike and Richarlison’s deflected goal turned the game on its head.

Down to ten men after Benjamin Sesko’s injury, United threw everything forward, and with goalkeeper Senne Lammens up for a last-gasp corner, De Ligt rose to head home from a tight angle.

The result denied Spurs a long-awaited home win, leaving both sides stunned at the final whistle.
