Djokovich gets a medical exemption to compete in Australian Open

Serbian tennis star and defending Australian Open champion Novak Djokovich has been granted a COVID vaccine exemption to appear in this year’s tournament.

The process for granting exemptions is confidential. Djokovich supports freedom of choice in regards to the COVID vaccines. Other unnamed players have been granted exemptions to play in the tournament, including those who have had the Russian Sputnik 5 vaccine, which is not recognised in Australia.

  1. I believe we all have the choice of freedom. The covid vaccine is still under critical trial. I haven’t got a vaccine yet. Support all athletes.
