EPL: Newcastle 2 – 3 Manchester City

Manchester City have beaten Newcastle 2-3 in their Premier League clash today at St. James’ Park.

In a thrilling match Manchester City secured a late victory over Newcastle United, bringing them within two points of league leaders Liverpool. The decisive goal came in stoppage time from 20-year-old Oscar Bobb, who capitalised on a pass from Kevin de Bruyne to score his first Premier League goal. De Bruyne, coming off the bench, had a big influence on the game, scoring a goal himself shortly after taking the field.

Manchester City initially led through a creative backheel goal by Bernardo Silva, assisted by Kyle Walker. However, Newcastle quickly responded with two goals in three minutes. Alexander Isak scored with a curling shot, followed by Anthony Gordon’s goal, giving Newcastle the lead.

The game was marked by periods of domination from both teams, with Manchester City controlling the second half. Their perseverance and quality eventually led to victory.

This win, City’s third consecutive in the league and sixth in all competitions, was celebrated enthusiastically by manager Pep Guardiola and the team, and will be significant in the team’s Premier League title chase.
