Evanilson’s last-second header secures dramatic draw for Bournemouth against Aston Villa

In a thrilling Premier League showdown, Bournemouth striker Evanilson scored in the final seconds to secure a 1-1 draw against Aston Villa.

Six minutes into stoppage time, Bournemouth earned a free-kick, and Marcus Tavernier delivered a pinpoint cross to Evanilson, who headed the ball into the far corner to equalise.

Villa had controlled much of the match and took the lead in the 76th minute when Ross Barkley capitalised on Leon Bailey’s header, hooking it into the net.

Earlier, John McGinn had a goal disallowed after a VAR review determined the ball had rolled out of play before Ollie Watkins’ assist. Despite Villa’s dominance, Bournemouth’s record signing Evanilson delivered the last word, scoring only his second goal since joining from Porto for £40.2 million in August.

Villa manager Unai Emery admitted his side “deserved to win” but accepted the painful late draw.
