Former Czech women’s football coach Petr Vlachovsky has been handed a lifetime ban from all football-related activity by UEFA after secretly filming female players in changing rooms and showers over a four-year period.
Vlachovsky, who coached at for nearly 15 years and previously led the Czech Republic women’s Under-19 side, was convicted last year and received a suspended prison sentence along with a national coaching ban.
UEFA’s disciplinary body found he had seriously damaged the reputation of football through indecent conduct, while FIFA has been asked to enforce the ban globally. Authorities said 14 players were filmed using a hidden camera concealed in a backpack, with some victims only discovering the recordings after his arrest in 2023.
The 42-year-old was also found to possess child sexual abuse material, while players later spoke publicly about the lasting psychological impact of the abuse.
