Filipino gymnast Carlos Yulo, who recently secured two gold medals at the Paris Games, has found his personal life in turmoil, accusing his mother, Anjelica Yulo, of embezzling his prize money since 2022.
Yulo revealed on TikTok that his mother had access to his accounts and monthly sports allowance, only to discover later that she had withdrawn funds without his consent.
The tension between them has further escalated due to Anjelica’s apparent disapproval of Yulo’s girlfriend, Chloe Anjeleigh San Jose, leading to a strained family relationship.
Despite his Olympic success, which has earned him significant rewards, including a $414,000 condo, Yulo’s celebration has been overshadowed by this family conflict.
Anjelica eventually issued an apology, claiming she had taken the money out of concern for her son’s future, though Yulo remains upset.
