Nottingham Forest have begun discussions with former Wolves manager Vitor Pereira following the dismissal of Sean Dyche after just 114 days in charge, as the club continues its turbulent season.
The decision came after a 0-0 home draw with bottom-placed Wolves left Forest only three points clear of the Premier League relegation zone with 12 games remaining. Pereira, who previously worked under owner Evangelos Marinakis at Olympiacos and helped keep Wolves in the Premier League last season, has emerged as a leading candidate despite being dismissed earlier this season after a poor start.
Dyche’s exit means Forest are now searching for their fourth permanent manager this season, having already parted ways with Nuno Espirito Santo and Ange Postecoglou. While Dyche initially steadied results and lifted Forest out of the drop zone, inconsistent form and pressure from improving relegation rivals ultimately led to the club making another managerial change, despite a solid Europa League group stage campaign that secured knockout qualification.
