Gordon double fires Newcastle to first Champions League win since 2003

Newcastle United secured their first Champions League victory of the season, and first away win in the competition since 2003, with a 0-4 triumph over Union Saint-Gilloise in Brussels.

Sandro Tonali opened the scoring with a deflected volley before Anthony Gordon converted two penalties, one in each half, to put the visitors in control.

Harvey Barnes added a late fourth to cap a commanding response following their weekend defeat to Arsenal. The result gave Newcastle their first points of the European campaign after losing their opener to Barcelona.
