Liverpool manager Arne Slot has been given a two-game touchline ban and fined £70,000 for confronting referee Michael Oliver after the 2-2 draw against Everton on 12 February.
Slot will miss Liverpool’s upcoming Premier League matches against Newcastle and Southampton but will be allowed on the touchline for their Champions League clash with PSG on 5 March.
Assistant coach Sipke Hulshoff also received a two-game ban and a £7,000 fine. The FA fined Liverpool and Everton £65,000 and £50,000, respectively, for failing to control their players during the chaotic end to the Merseyside derby, which saw late red cards and Everton fans storming the pitch.
Slot later admitted that “emotions got the better of me” but will return to the dugout for the Carabao Cup final on 16 March.
