Liverpool cruise into Champions League last 16 with emphatic win

Liverpool booked automatic qualification to the Champions League last 16 with a dominant victory over Qarabag, delivering a ruthless attacking display that put the result beyond doubt early.

Goals flowed from set-pieces and open play as the Reds established control inside 15 minutes and never relented, repeatedly cutting through the Azerbaijani side’s defence to underline their European form despite domestic struggles.

The only setback on an otherwise comfortable night was an early injury that forced a first-half substitution, but it did little to blunt Liverpool’s authority as they closed out a comprehensive win.
