Kiwi tennis No.1 Lulu Sun has claimed the WTA 125 tournament in Jingshan, China, defeating local Ma Ye-Xin 6-4 6-2 in the final.
The victory marks an important step in Sun’s comeback after her ranking slipped to 146.
The win earns her 125 ranking points and US$22,730 in prizemoney, lifting her to around No.125 in the world.
Sun will next compete in Suzhou before returning home.
