Manchester City chairman Khaldoon Al Mubarak says the club remains determined to clear its name after being found guilty of most of the Premier League’s 115 alleged financial-rule breaches.
The charges centre on claims City overstated sponsorship income and used undisclosed payments to circumvent financial regulations.
Al Mubarak told supporters the legal process was far from over and said confidentiality prevented the club from publicly explaining why it remained confident in its position.
City is expected to appeal, while potential sanctions could include a points deduction, expulsion from the Premier League or a substantial fine. Al Mubarak also accused critics of attempting to undermine the club’s momentum.
