NZ mens and womens take Singapore 7s crown

Both the New Zealand men’s and women’s sevens teams emerged victorious at the Singapore leg of the World Series, with the Black Ferns Sevens clinching the regular season title.

The Black Ferns Sevens beat Australia 31-21 in a gripping final, securing their position at the top of the standings as the regular season drew to a close.

Meanwhile, the All Blacks Sevens demonstrated their resilience by triumphing over Ireland in a narrow 17-14 victory in their final showdown. Argentina, despite finishing fifth in Singapore, won their maiden regular season title.

The top eight teams from each series now advance to the ‘Grand Final’ tournament in Madrid, Spain later this month.

A hat-trick from Michaela Blyde helped the Black Ferns Sevens emerged winners, clinching their fourth successive tournament gold.
