Shohei Ohtani delivered a once-in-a-lifetime performance on Friday, hitting three home runs and striking out ten batters over six scoreless innings to lead the Los Angeles Dodgers to a 5-1 win over the Milwaukee Brewers, clinching a sweep in the NL Championship Series.
The Japanese superstar became the first player in MLB history to hit multiple home runs in a postseason game he also pitched, cementing his place among the sport’s greats.
The Dodgers, now back in the World Series for the fifth time in nine years, will face either Toronto or Seattle next week as they chase consecutive titles.
