Oscar Piastri secured his fourth victory in six races with a commanding drive at the Miami Grand Prix, leading a McLaren 1-2 ahead of teammate Lando Norris.
Starting from fourth, Piastri overtook both Mercedes’ Kimi Antonelli and Red Bull’s Max Verstappen to seize the lead and held off Norris, who recovered from an early mistake, to the finish.
George Russell capitalised on a well-timed virtual safety car to take third, fending off Verstappen in the final laps. Ferrari’s race saw internal tension as Lewis Hamilton was eventually allowed to pass Charles Leclerc, though he couldn’t challenge Antonelli ahead. The win marks Piastri’s third consecutive triumph and extends his championship lead.
Kiwi Liam Lawson retired out on the 38th lap.
