Paris St-Germain secured a 2-0 victory over Seattle Sounders to win Group B and advance to the FIFA Club World Cup knockout stages.
Their opener came via a lucky deflection as Vitinha’s off-target shot struck Khvicha Kvaratskhelia and went in, before Achraf Hakimi doubled the lead on a swift counterattack. PSG dominated the match, with Desire Doue testing Sounders goalkeeper Stefan Frei multiple times, while Seattle’s best chance was squandered by Jesus Ferreira after a mistake by Gianluigi Donnarumma.
PSG will now face the runners-up of Group A, expected to be either Palmeiras or Inter Miami.
