Veteran goalkeeper Andrew Redmayne was the standout performer as Central Coast Mariners battled to a 1-1 draw with Wellington Phoenix at polytec Stadium.
After an early Mariners goal was ruled offside, Wellington took the lead through Ifeanyi Eze’s close-range finish, before Sabit Ngor equalised early in the second half with a powerful strike. Redmayne, 36, delivered a series of superb saves to deny Carlo Armiento and Eze as both sides pushed for a winner.
The result leaves the Mariners on four points after three rounds, while Wellington Phoenix remain unbeaten with two draws and a win.
