Morgan Rogers scored twice in the second half as Aston Villa fought back from behind on two occasions to defeat West Ham and extend their winning run in all competitions to nine matches.
West Ham made a dream start with Mateus Fernandes scoring inside 30 seconds, before an own goal from Konstantinos Mavropanos levelled the match.
Jarrod Bowen restored the hosts’ lead before half-time, but Villa improved after the break, with Rogers equalising early in the second half and then striking a superb late winner to put the visitors ahead for the first time.
The victory moves Unai Emery’s side to within three points of Premier League leaders Arsenal, while West Ham remain in relegation trouble, sitting three points from safety after another damaging defeat.
Final score: 2-3.
