New Zealand snowboarder Zoi Sadowski-Synnott won silver in the Big Air event at the Winter Olympics in Italy, matching her result from the 2022 Beijing Games, while Japan’s Kokomo Murase won gold and South Korea’s Seungeun Yu took bronze.
The result gives Sadowski-Synnott a record third Olympic Big Air medal, adding to her silver in 2022 and bronze in 2018.
After failing to land her first run and scoring 27.75, she recovered with a backside triple-cork 1440 scoring 88.75 and a switch backside 1260 scoring 83.50, finishing with 172.25 points behind Murase’s 179.
