Macarthur Bulls striker Harry Sawyer came off the bench to deliver a dramatic 1–0 win over Wellington Phoenix in their A-League clash at Sky Stadium.
Introduced with 14 minutes to play, Sawyer struck seven minutes later, sliding the ball under Phoenix goalkeeper Josh Oluwayemi to score Macarthur’s first away goal of the season and his second of the campaign.
Wellington came close moments earlier through Isaac Hughes, whose header drifted just wide, before their long wait for a clean sheet extended to 17 matches.
Their only shot on target arrived in stoppage time when Carlo Armiento’s powerful long-range strike was spectacularly saved by Filip Kurto.
