Tyson Fury ends social media silence but dashes comeback hopes

Tyson Fury has resurfaced on social media weeks after announcing his retirement, but fans hoping for a comeback were left disappointed.

Instead of hinting at a return to the ring, the former heavyweight champion used his Instagram post to promote a competition, leaving many supporters frustrated.

This marks Fury’s third retirement, following previous exits after wins against Wladimir Klitschko and Dillian Whyte.

However this time his decision comes after a narrow defeat to Oleksandr Usyk.

While some still speculate about a return, promoter Eddie Hearn suggests Fury has only weeks to decide if he wants a potential summer fight against Anthony Joshua.
