Dame Lisa Carrington secured her eighth Olympic gold medal in the K1 500m at the Paris Olympics, overcoming a challenging field that included Aimee Fisher, who had beaten her twice earlier this year.
Fisher, however, couldn’t maintain her form in the final, finishing fourth as Carrington dominated the race.
