Google search data shows unusual trends before Charlie Kirk assassination

Independent researchers have raised fresh questions about the assassination of U.S. conservative influencer Charlie Kirk, claiming Google search data showed interest in multiple related terms before his September 10 killing.

James Li, host of The 5149 Show on YouTube, told Redacted that his own investigation into Google Trends revealed searches for the names of people, locations, and weapons linked to the attack days or even weeks before it occurred. He said those searches appeared in two key regions — Washington D.C. and Israel.

Among the search terms reportedly trending were “Tyler James Robinson” (the alleged gunman), “Losi Center” (the rooftop site where shots were fired), the hospital where Kirk was treated, and the medical examiner’s office. Lee said he asked Google to interpret the results and was told the activity could reflect “non-organic” searches — potentially reconnaissance or verification by a small number of users.

Li claimed Google described a second, less likely explanation: a coincidence of unrelated users researching the same locations and names. The timing, he said, raises questions about foreknowledge of the attack.

According to Li, one cluster of searches occurred in early September, immediately before the assassination, while another series dated back to late July — coinciding with a Turning Point USA event in Florida where Kirk reportedly clashed with donors over the platforming of media figures such as Tucker Carlson.

Li said that after his findings circulated online, some of the Google Trends data he captured appeared to vanish. “The searches are now listed as unavailable,” he told Redacted, adding that the removal itself “warrants further investigation.”

While stressing that no direct evidence links any foreign entity to the killing, Li suggested the anomalies justify deeper inquiry. “It may not be a smoking gun yet,” he said, “but it’s enough to investigate further rather than shut down discussion.”

  1. Something smacks when Trump didn’t follow up on it and straight away his man (Patel) at the FBI hastily announced “we;ve got the guy” and has been silent ever since. We know he irritated the four by twos and doubly posed a popularity threat to the orange drongo …
