A heroic English-speaking tourist has been praised for tackling a knifeman who stabbed five people in a shocking broad daylight attack in Amsterdam.

The suspect, who is not a Dutch national, was apprehended by the tourist and bystanders outside a fast-food restaurant, preventing further violence. Witnesses reported that the attacker was kicked down while trying to flee, sustaining a leg injury before being taken to hospital.

Police lauded the tourist’s brave actions, while cautioning that citizen’s arrests can be risky.

Social media erupted with praise, calling the tourist a “true hero.”

The victims included five individuals from various countries, with injuries occurring across several nearby streets.

Authorities continue to investigate the motive behind the attack.

  1. Legend, well done.
We need more of his type. The poolice are just the ambulance at the bottom of the cliff but most dont realise this.

  2. Still no official communication about the nationality of the criminal. He seems to carry multiple pasports with him.
    Reminds me of some agency…
