‘How is this not a coup?’: Speculation mounts over Biden’s fate following Harris power grab

President Joe Biden’s sudden medical emergency and subsequent absence from public view have fuelled widespread speculation and controversy.

Allegations are emerging that Vice President Kamala Harris has replaced Biden following a covert political coup orchestrated by high-ranking Democrats and key Biden aides.

Days before Biden’s medical emergency, former President Donald Trump narrowly escaped an assassination attempt. This incident heightened political tensions and added an unexpected layer to the unfolding drama.

Shortly after Trump’s incident, President Biden experienced a medical emergency in Las Vegas, requiring him to self-isolate at home. His last public appearance was on July 17, deboarding a plane in Delaware.

In Biden’s absence, Trump made a surprising appearance at the Republican National Convention (RNC), accepting the GOP nomination.

Prominent Democrats, including Nancy Pelosi, Chuck Schumer, and Hakeem Jeffries, began a concerted effort to pressure Biden out of office. Leaks suggested former President Barack Obama was concerned about Biden’s re-election chances, further fuelling the push.

Reports indicate that Speaker Pelosi initiated a plan dubbed “Get Joe Out, the Hard Way.” Biden aides Steve Ricchetti and Mike Donilon allegedly played key roles in executing the strategy to push Biden out.

Inside sources reported a heated argument between Hunter Biden and First Lady Jill Biden, indicating deep internal discord within the Biden family.

A resignation letter, purportedly from President Biden, appeared on social media platform X, featuring a suspect digital signature and lacking official letterhead. White House staff were reportedly blindsided by the development.

Chief of Staff Ron Klain informed the Cabinet and took over communications. High-profile endorsements for Harris followed swiftly, with Hillary Clinton, Bill Clinton, and California Governor Gavin Newsom among the first to support her.

Former President Obama praised Biden as “one of America’s most consequential presidents,” which many interpreted as an implicit endorsement of the transition.

Vice President Harris stepped in to assume leadership, with Biden’s family citing health concerns as a factor. Federal Election Commission (FEC) filings were altered, transferring campaign donations to Harris, who reportedly raised an astonishing $81 million within 24 hours and secured the necessary delegates to become the presumptive Democratic presidential nominee.

The sudden and dramatic series of events, coupled with Biden’s prolonged absence from the public eye, has led many to question the legitimacy of the transition. Detractors label it a “coup,” pointing to the orchestrated efforts and the unusual circumstances surrounding Biden’s departure.

While official statements emphasise Biden’s health as the primary reason for his absence, the lack of transparency and the rapid consolidation of support for Harris leave many Americans skeptical.
