A senior Japanese opposition politician has publicly linked his cancer diagnosis to the COVID-19 jab.
Ten-term member of Japan’s House of Representatives and former Minister of Internal Affairs and Communications Kazuhiro Haraguchi said he was pressured to receive an mRNA clot shot in order to attend an international nuclear disarmament conference and was later diagnosed with stage-two diffuse large B-cell lymphoma.
In social media posts addressed to US cancer researchers Dr Wafik El-Deiry and Dr Charlotte Kuperwasser, Haraguchi said Japanese laboratories found spike proteins in his excised tonsil tissue but no evidence of prior COVID infection, leading him to believe the mRNA gene therapy played a role. Haraguchi, who says he has since entered remission, cited recent academic papers by El-Deiry and Kuperwasser as validation of his concerns.
The papers, published in the oncology journal Oncotarget, examine possible biological mechanisms linking COVID vaccination or infection to cancer progression and review more than 300 reported cases worldwide of rapid-onset cancers following vaccination.
Their release has triggered sharp scientific and public debate, as well as controversy after Oncotarget reported sustained distributed denial-of-service (DDoS) cyberattacks that disrupted access to its website shortly after publication.
El-Deiry, a prominent US oncologist and cancer genetics researcher, has also reported sustained anonymous criticism of his work on post-publication review platforms, which he describes as coordinated harassment.
