Nepal’s former Supreme Court chief justice Sushila Karki, 73, has been sworn in as interim prime minister after mass anti-corruption protests ousted Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli’s government.
She is the first woman to hold the post.
More than 50 people were killed during violent clashes following the government’s short-lived ban on social media, which sparked wider anger over corruption and political privilege.
Parliament is expected to be dissolved, with Karki tasked with holding elections within six months. Widely seen as a “figure of integrity”, Karki’s appointment comes amid Nepal’s worst unrest in decades, as the army patrols Kathmandu to restore order.
Hope she doesn’t go skinny dipping
Not a good look

Get back to Gab
Parliament is expected to be dissolved {and find new premises]. Widely seen as a “figure of integrity” [for whom, the people or the institution/corporation]
Now they have pay for a new Parliament building, at the tax payer’s expense.
