Salwan Momika, an Iraqi living in Sweden who ignited global outrage from Muslims by burning the Quran in 2023, was shot dead in an apartment in Södertälje, Stockholm.
Swedish police confirmed that the man, in his 40s, succumbed to gunshot wounds after a late-night attack on Wednesday.
Five people have been arrested in connection with the killing.
Momika had been facing charges of “agitation against an ethnic group” and was awaiting a court verdict when he was killed.
His actions had previously led to violent protests in Muslim-majority nations, including attacks on Sweden’s embassy in Baghdad.
Sweden’s Prime Minister, Ulf Kristersson, acknowledged that security services were investigating potential foreign involvement in the incident.

I didn’t have $$ to pay lawyers or get deferred by attending University, and my parents were not politicians.
Many potential draftees went to Canada, Sweden, and to overseas locations that did not have an extradition treaty with the U.S..
Some were able to go ‘4-F’ meaning unqualified for service. If that happened, then one would have problems finding a job in the civilian realm, as ‘4-F’ meant that you were defective in some way, either physically or mentally. It was almost as bad as getting a Bad Conduct Discharge, or a Dishonorable Discharge. All three would relate one to a life of unaffordable living.

Those who were Conscience Objectors would often go into the military, but serve in a non-combatant role or in a humanitarian role, if that makes any sense despite the entire effort was a war based on lies and deceptions as are most wars. The C.O’s had difficult times in trying to get along with those who were war mongers.

Sometimes one has to experience these flaws in mankind, to further understand where NOT to go in life, and to do what you can to prevent such from re-occurring.
