Salwan Momika, an Iraqi living in Sweden who ignited global outrage from Muslims by burning the Quran in 2023, was shot dead in an apartment in Södertälje, Stockholm.

Swedish police confirmed that the man, in his 40s, succumbed to gunshot wounds after a late-night attack on Wednesday.

Five people have been arrested in connection with the killing.

Momika had been facing charges of “agitation against an ethnic group” and was awaiting a court verdict when he was killed.

His actions had previously led to violent protests in Muslim-majority nations, including attacks on Sweden’s embassy in Baghdad.

Sweden’s Prime Minister, Ulf Kristersson, acknowledged that security services were investigating potential foreign involvement in the incident.

  1. ALL religions are corrupt.
That is why I always had ‘No Religious Preference’ on my dog tags when serving in Vietnam right up to Gulf War One.
Others I served with had ‘Agnostic’ on theirs.
All religions, and religious texts and practices have violent homicidal content being referenced to ie the Bible, Quran, Talmud, Torah, etc.
Religions have been used to foment wars and persecutions, ie the Inquisitions, Pogroms, Martyrdom, etc.
It’s written in many contexts that ‘Thru peace they wage war’, and the enemies are well clarified and identified.
Buddism, and Confucius, and some elements of Hinduism are more historically accurate from antiquity.
