U.K. police have laid two new charges of rape and sexual assault against Russell Brand, bringing the total number of alleged victims to six following further investigations.
The 50-year-old actor and social commentator had already pleaded not guilty in May to five charges relating to alleged offences between 1999 and 2005..
Brand is due to appear at Westminster Magistrates’ Court on 20 January over the new charges, while a separate trial on the original five charges is scheduled to begin at Southwark Crown Court on 16 June.
Brand has denied all allegations, saying he has never engaged in non-consensual activity.
In a post on social media after news of the new charges broke, Brand said:
“This is a time of great darkness, we’re all aware of that – the time of confusion, dispute and conflict. But I’ve learnt in my own life that attack can bring about grace. I’m so grateful in my own life that I get to participate in change and transformation and growth and love, and I feel so blessed that I have the opportunity to atone for the many things over the years that I did wrong, and to ensure people have the opportunity to understand the truth of my situation and scenario.
“Oh Lord I ask that the people who see this video are able to pay attention to what’s happened in the last couple of years when it comes to media, independent media, politics – not only in the United States of America but of course in my home the U.K. that appears to be using bureaucracy increasingly to legitimize authority.
“I pray Lord that any one I’ve harmed or hurt in my years of mindlessness in sin would be healed Lord. I pray for infinite light and wonderful healing for them. And I pray Lord for the absolute truth of who I am to be abundantly revealed…”
Speaking of next year Brand said there were “going to be big trials…but as it says in James, we consider it a great joy when we face trials of any kind.”
Merry Christmas brothers and sisters. Accept all things, even trials as gifts from God. Jesus is real. pic.twitter.com/SnV5FWzhak

UK still poisoned by the MeToo scam?
Jesus said “ I am no part of this world “ meaning stay out of politics and the rest of this system. Born again Christians seem to be oblivious to this statement. Yes he has placed himself in the crosshairs of the elite but despite that he cannot stop digging himself into a bigger hole. Just shut up and practice what you preach Russell.
He should have performed the humiliation ritual as directed, chill,,,,
