The Russian Defense Ministry announced strikes on a Ukrainian General Staff drone command and control centre in Kiev, as well as on UAV manufacturing sites and stockpiles.
The ministry did not specify the timing but mentioned multiple attacks throughout the week.
Images shared by former Ukrainian MP Igor Mosiychuk show a hole in the roof of the General Staff building, though he claimed the damage was limited due to a munition failing to explode.
Chechen leader Ramzan Kadyrov reported the command centre was hit by Geran-2 kamikaze drones, resulting in nine Ukrainian servicemen killed and 17 injured. Kadyrov indicated the strikes were in retaliation for a recent attack on Russia’s Special Forces University in Chechnya.
