Starmer urges Andrew to testify over Epstein files

Starmer tells Andrew to cooperate with Epstein investigation

UK Prime Minister Keir Starmer has said Andrew Mountbatten-Windor should be prepared to give evidence to US lawmakers following the release of new documents linked to convicted sex offender Jeffrey Epstein.

The files, released under new US transparency legislation, reportedly include emails and photographs connecting the former royal to Epstein several years after the financier’s first criminal conviction.

Starmer told reporters that anyone with relevant information should be willing to provide it, stressing that the priority must remain on the victims connected to Epstein.

“Firstly, I have always approached this question with the victims of Epstein in mind. Epstein’s victims have to be the first priority. As for whether there should be an apology, that’s a matter for Andrew,” he said.

“But yes, in terms of testifying, I have always said anybody who has got information should be prepared to share that information in whatever form they are asked to do that. You can’t be victim-centred if you’re not prepared to do that.”

Andrew, who lost his royal titles last year, has repeatedly denied wrongdoing and previously said he ended his association with Epstein after the 2008 conviction. However, the latest material is said to include communications and images from 2010, as well as an email in which Epstein allegedly suggested Andrew meet a young Russian woman.

  1. Oh Starmie you urge him, do you? There was no urging ordinary Brits treated like criminals for free speech, was there? Just another double standard, from the UK’s ersatz Labour party.

  2. Keir Starmer is finished, but is he the only one with a bleak future?
