A 14-year-old boy was fatally stabbed on Route 472 in Woolwich, southeast London, on January 7.
Emergency services, including paramedics and an air ambulance, responded quickly, but the boy succumbed to his injuries at the scene.
The Metropolitan Police have launched an investigation and are appealing for witnesses, though no arrests have been made. The suspect remains at large.
The incident occurred near Woolwich Church Road at the junction with the A205 South Circular Road. The area remains cordoned off as police work to gather information.
The tragedy follows a steep rise in knife-related crimes in London, with over 15,000 offences reported in 2024.
