The 36 year old man charged with the abduction of Cleo Smith is Terrence Darrell Kelly, an unemployed man of Carnarvon, West Australia.
It has emerged today that Kelly was an avid doll collector and video has been circulating on the internet of him inside a room full of dolls, some still in their packaging.
In a Facebook post from last year, Kelly wrote in the status update:
‘I love taking my dolls for drive arounds and doing their hair and taking selfies in public.’
In another post he wrote:
‘Nothing beats chilling at home with by Bratz dolls.’
At his first appearance today in the Carnarvon Magistrates Court, Kelly threatened journalists, saying he would ‘get them’ once he was out [of prison].
He will next appear in court on 6 December.
