A 12-year-old student named Courtney at Bilton School in Rugby, Warwickshire, was removed from culture day celebrations after wearing a Union Jack dress and presenting a speech on British heritage.

Her father Stuart claimed she was told the event was “not for her” because she gets to celebrate being British “every day”.

“On my way to collect my daughter from school. She’s currently being made to sit at reception waiting for me”, Stuart wrote on Facebook.

“It’s cultural diversity day at school where children can wear clothing representing their culture and write a speech about their heritage. She has been told it’s not for her as she gets to celebrate being British everyday.”

The incident sparked backlash, with the girl’s speech emphasising that all cultures, including British, should be celebrated.

The school and its proprietors the Stowe Valley Multi Academy Trust issued an unreserved apology, acknowledging the distress caused and pledging to review policies and improve staff training to ensure “greater inclusion and respect” in future events.

  1. The woke freak show is really a Trojan horse to destroy the culture of nations and replace it with division and animosity, so the real culprits are never brought to account. The fact the whole DEI farce, is financed by venture capital, tells you everything you need to know.

  2. This is distressing, a beautiful girl wearing a modest version of the Union Jack dress made famous/infamous by Gerry Halliwell of the Spice Girls being psychologically abused and bullied by adults, who should know better. I suggest they have their wages docked equivalent to the time she needs to recuperate her self worth.
