U.S. Vice President J.D. Vance has taken a fresh jab at former president Joe Biden, joking that serving as his second-in-command would have meant living in constant fear he might “croak” at any moment.
Speaking to Fox News Vance contrasted Biden’s age and health with Donald Trump’s, saying the current president remains “strong” and “casts a big shadow,” while implying Biden’s frailty would have left him sleepless and anxiously awaiting an emergency call.
Biden’s physical and cognitive fitness became a major political flashpoint after his shaky debate performance last year, which ultimately pushed Democratic leaders to replace him with Kamala Harris as their presidential nominee.
While critics continue to claim the 79-year-old president still displays “elderly moments,” Trump himself has faced questions over bruising and swelling seen during public appearances — issues the White House says stem from preventative aspirin use and mild age-related vascular changes.
🚨 LMAO! JD VANCE: “I serve under Donald Trump, who is very healthy.”
“If I served under Joe Biden, I’d probably be worried every minute of every day that he was gonna croak, and I’d have to become President.” 🤣
