Trump’s attorney Alina Habba pulled no punches in addressing the media outside court after today’s verdict in the E. Jean Carroll defamation case.
Trump was ordered by a jury to pay Carroll USD $81 million in damages.
Carroll argued Trump defamed in 2019 when he publicly claimed that she had lied when she accused him of rape.
Habba said the verdict was the result of a corrupt New York justice system, which had ‘stripped’ Trump of ‘every single defence he had,’ and denied his right to defend himself.
The trial was presided over by Judge Lewis Kaplan.
Prior to Trump’s testimony the judge ordered Habba to divulge her questions and Trump’s answers. The judge then proceeded to ‘edit’ the questions and answers, she alleged, confirming that proof was available on the court record.
Kaplan denied Trump the opportunity to call two expert witnesses.
Roberta Kaplan (no relation), the attorney acting for Carroll was funded by LinkedIn founder Reid Hoffman. A key witness had been paid off by Kaplan’s firm, Habba claimed.

Habba indicated an appeal will be filed shortly.

What’s worse though is the new legal precedent they’re trying to set. In the future, if anyone ever accuses you of committing a crime against them, you are not allowed to dispute the allegation or you risk them suing you for defamation?

The case was a clear example of judicial corruption. They will go to any lengths to destroy the man, but it is only making his support grow stronger and bigger.
I think its no secret anymore that the USA is rotten to the core…..I would think there is no recourse to change through the electoral process either….as it stands I’d call the place “a failed state.”
