The Syrian president has been granted asylum in Russia, Kremlin sources say.

Syrian President Bashar al-Assad has been granted asylum in Russia and is currently in Moscow with his family, Russian news agencies RIA Novosti and TASS reported on Sunday, citing Kremlin sources.

The development comes as Syrian militants seized control of Damascus, effectively ending Assad’s 24-year rule.

  1. Al-Qaeda and ISIS islamic terrorists are now in charge of Syria funded by the good ol USA.

Oddly, they’re now the freedom fighter ‘good guys’.

    Nothing peculiar about that obviously.

    Move along.

  2. Libya 2.0. This is a new form of war and conquest. Not national armies, but fully trained and equipped ideological proxies, fighting under the guise of “freedom” with the fake news MSM controlling the information war. Iran and Iraq are next, then the muslim/turkic areas of Russia and Eurasia.

  3. Huh! I thought Al-Qaeda were meant to be the evil terrorists.

Just to clarity my virtue signalling:

Whose flag am I meant to be waving this week?

  4. Its that festive revolutionary time of year. Hang out the flags, fire your weapons, commit violent acts and generally have a good time 10th century style. Syria, Georgia and possibly Romania, all have or might be getting an Xmas gift from blood soaked Uncle Sam.

On a different note, good to see Assad and family is safe. A clever, decent man, maybe not a perfect politician, whose chief misfortune was finding himself an obstacle to the usual depraved thieves and scum bags, who want the nations energy resources.
