Musk accuses Trump of Epstein ties as rift escalates

Musk - Trump news

Elon Musk has publicly claimed that Donald Trump appears in the still-unreleased files related to Jeffrey Epstein, suggesting that is why the documents have not been made public.

The claim marks the latest escalation in an extraordinary and increasingly bitter feud between the two former allies, with Musk also criticising Trump’s tariffs and calling for a new centrist political party.

Musk additionally announced that SpaceX would begin decommissioning its Dragon spacecraft following threats from Trump to cut government contracts.

The fallout has impacted Tesla significantly, with the company’s stock plummeting 14.3% and wiping $150 billion off its market value.

Trump fired back, accusing Musk of “Trump derangement syndrome” and claimed he helped Musk significantly before he left his advisory role.

Musk denied seeing or supporting the president’s controversial tax bill, which he condemned as a “disgusting abomination.”
