The All Blacks solidified their dominance at Eden Park, extending their unbeaten record to 51 matches with a hard-fought 24-17 victory over South Africa in a bruising Rugby Championship Test.
The All Blacks outscored the Springboks three tries to two, with Emoni Narawa, Will Jordan, and Quinn Tupaea crossing the line, complemented by points from Jordie Barrett and Damian McKenzie’s boots.
Despite tries from Malcolm Marx and Cobus Reinach, and contributions from Handre Pollard and Sacha Feinberg-Mngomezulu, the Springboks couldn’t overcome the hosts’ resilient defense and clinical attack.
The result keeps New Zealand atop the Rugby Championship standings with 10 points, while the Springboks, level with Argentina on five, were left ruing missed opportunities in a physical, attritional encounter.
